Mahlon M. Gowdy has attributed these children to James Goudey (of Marblehead) which is not possible. I thought they might belong to this James Gowdey of Danvers instead. It is evident from the Census below that some or all of these children do not belong to this James Goudey either. They either belong to another James Goudey or perhaps a different father. Since all of these children appear in Lynn in primary sources (marriage, death etc.), there may have been another Goudey family that moved to Lynn circa 1790. The evidence does suggest that most or all of these children are brothers and sisters.
