John Piroo apparently re-married to Martha Meby about 1690, which indicates that Metje Pieters must have died in about 1689-1690. I see no evidence that Metje Pieters and Martha Meby are the same person, however it may be possible that they are. Witnesses at the births of John Piroo and Metje Pieters are consistant with the Pieter Casperszen Van Naarden family, wheras the witnesses for the births of John Piroo and Martha Meby indicate a different family.

1708
The will of "John Peroa", dated 12/7/1708, mentions wife Martha, sons Peter and Jacob and daughters Anna Katharine, Margaret and Mary. Proved August 15, 1709.

I have included both the Patronymic and the Surname Piroo for the Children. Patronymics were "Officially" over in 1675 when the British took over, however I don't know how quickly Surnames were actually adopted.
